Based on the title, this post could go in a lot of different directions. It could make me a good dad, bad one, chill one, hyper one, or none of the above.
I don’t know what you were thinking about, but this post is about diapers. And the stash is no longer a secret.
The cool thing about the stash– formerly known as secret– is that it isn’t one stash. It’s everywhere! If you want to be Scrooge McDuck swimming in diapers instead of coins, that’s cool. That is, until your baby changes sizes.
Here’s today’s tip: when you baby first enters a new size of diapers, buy a ton of them. As she or he gets higher in the weight range for that size, buy only as you need them. You’ll know you need a new size when no diaper seems to hold #1 and #2.
When I say keep them everywhere, I don’t mean we make it rain with diapers. However, we do keep a thick stack of them in each room the baby spends time in (plus the diaper bag). We have some in the play pen, some in his bassinet (in our room), a closet full of them in his room and more than one day’s worth in the diaper bag. Felix’s Diaper Bag of Tricks is enough material for another post, so you can look forward to that one soon.
